Medical gas plants are used to reduce high-pressure medical gases that come through gas cylinders, liquid oxygen tanks, or oxygen production systems to a specific pressure value via collectors and deliver these gases at that specific pressure value.

An oxygen plant and nitrogen plant consist of high-pressure tubes connected to each other through a collector. There are two stages of pressure reducers: the high-pressure reducer and the second stage pressure reducer. It regulates the 230 bar pressure from the medical gas source to reduce it to the required pressure value for the system. The medical gas plant reduces the high pressure coming from the tube to 8-10 bar pressure through first-stage regulators. Subsequently, the second-stage regulators regulate the reduced pressure to the desired final pressure value.
The capacity of the oxygen and nitrogen plant varies depending on the type and distance of gas transportation being used, ranging from 35-150-300 m3/h.
Medikal gas plants consist of two parts, one being the main and the other being the backup. In case the pressure value drops to a critical level, the second system automatically comes into operation, ensuring continuity.
When the oxygen/nitrogen level of the medical gas ramp being used drops to 8 bar, the system automatically switches to the other medical gas ramp thanks to the change-over unit in the system. Low-pressure and high-pressure sensors on the unit are connected to the digital alarm panel, and an emergency alarm is activated in case of a possible pressure drop or increase. At the same time, the 7 Bar safety valves on the plant prevents the oxygen copper pipe from being endangered by automatically opening when the system pressure exceeds 7 bar. The pressure and tube filling rate of the oxygen/nitrogen sent to the system can be monitored visually on the digital alarm panel screen.
